Virtual Artist Lecture by Laura Splan
with live sound performance by Frank Masciocchi

Laura Splan will be presenting recent work in an online artist talk followed by a sound performance by Lab Instrumentation Engineer/Musician Frank Masciocchi playing live from the biotech lab at Integral Molecular. The talk is presented by Venture Café Philadelphia for the opening of Disrupted Domains curated by Angela McQuillan on view at the University City Science Center's Quorum through December 18, 2020.
Disrupted Domains features animations created with molecular visualization software and SARS-CoV-2 structures. The animations were developed in remote collaboration with Integral Molecular for Splan’s Science Center Bioart Residency while “sheltering in place” for COVID-19. An accompanying soundscape by Masciocchi was recorded in collaboration with Splan over Zoom.
