Spontaneous Narratives explores the narrative potential and emotional vulnerability of scrolling through one's spam email subject headings. The text in this series was derived solely from subject headings of junk mail received in the month of June 2010 while in residence at Byrdcliffe Art Colony in Woodstock, NY. The carefully hand drawn text emulates the typography of the monospace font "Monaco Regular". The chosen groupings resonate poetically in the traditions of the Cut-up, Spoetry, and Flarf while maintaining a linear order according the timestamp of each email. The soundscape is a linear roller coaster of cheerful optimism and paranoid aggression read by the deadpan Speech to Text voice of "Vicki".
