Simple Maneuvers #1-4
2005
Digital C-prints
20"W x 24"D each

This series of photographs was inspired by the pioneering research of Dr. Alexander Limberg.   His development of a surgical technique surprisingly and poetically referred to as "simple maneuvers" involves using paper models to represent the surface of the skin.   The models are used in an almost origami like fashion to plan maneuvers that will be performed with skin during surgery.
